[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Timok Youth Center in partnership with Free youth center from Vidin (Bulgaria) organized in Wednesday 19th of April 2017 in meeting room of RARIS press conference to present the activities under the project Moving borders for volunteering. This project TOC and FYC implements through the Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria–Serbia Programme.

Speakers on the conference were Goran Radisavljevic project manager, Ivan Zivkovic project coordinator and Nilolay Tsolov project coordinator.

On the same day has started a two day meeting of experts for finalization of common methodology for volunteer centers and other publication that will be published under the project.

The overall objective of the project is to create conditions for sustainable cooperation in cross-border region for increased youth participation in community life through social volunteering in institutions and organization in cross-border region.

Project idea is establishing a network of volunteer centers across the whole border area and development of volunteering in social activities

Project team will support 10 organizations of youth and for youth do establish 10 volunteer centers in cross-border area, 5 in Serbia and 5 in Bulgaria.

Main project activities are development of common methodology for social volunteering across border area, nomination of local organizations to become providers of volunteer services in local communities of cross border area, TOT – Training for volunteer centers leaders, equipment of volunteer centers on both sides with basic tools, training of volunteers, Volunteer exchange visit.

In previous period under the project was implemented research among youth, institutions and organizations of situations and needs about volunteering in border region of Serbia and Bulgaria.

Project target group are youth workers from youth and working with youth NGOs and young people from 15 to 30 years old, potential volunteers, in whole Bulgarian – Serbian border region.
